HealthSouth Corporation Announces $150 Million Senior Unsecured Credit Facility Syndication

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.

HealthSouth Corporation (OTC Pink Sheets: HLSH) today announced that it is launching a $150 million senior unsecured credit facility. The company stated that it intends to use the net proceeds of the credit facility to partially refinance the company's $245 million 6.875% senior notes due June 15, 2005. This allows the company to reduce their overall level of debt. J.P. Morgan Securities Inc. and Citigroup Global Markets Inc. are acting as joint-lead arrangers and joint-bookrunners for the syndication of the new credit facility.
