HealthSouth Announces Date of First Quarter Earnings Release and Conference Call

HealthSouth Corporation (OTC Pink Sheets: HLSH) announced today that it anticipates it will release its First Quarter 2006 financial results and file its Form 10-Q for the period ended March 31, 2006 on Monday, May 15, 2006, utilizing the five-day extension permitted under the rules of the Securities and Exchange Commission. HealthSouth will hold an investor conference call at 4 p.m. Eastern Time on May 15, 2006 to discuss its results for the first quarter of 2006.
