HealthSouth Corporation (OTC Pink Sheets: HLSH) announced today that it has closed a transaction to acquire the assets of Hurrle Orthopaedic Physical Therapy, P.C. (Hurrle). Hurrle is an Indiana corporation that was founded in 1997 and has grown from one clinic to seven in the past nine years.

The transaction gives HealthSouth ownership of Hurrle's seven outpatient physical therapy facilities in the Indianapolis, Ind. area. As a result, Hurrle's approximately 35 employees will become HealthSouth employees and will continue to treat patients in their respective centers. The centers provide a number of outpatient rehabilitation services including physical therapy, sports medicine and occupational therapy.
